IEC hosts an annual conference and other events that include discussions of important topics related to compliance with US federal laws for those institutions participating in federal loan programs. Attendees learn about issues such as the US financial audit requirements, the return of Title IV funds, best practices from student loan program experts, and hear about the latest developments in Washington as Congress considers and the US Department of Education implements changes to federal student loan programs – changes that affect IEC members.

These events are also great opportunities to learn more about the U.S. student loan programs and the goals and activities of the International Education Council. In addition, IEC staff are often invited to speak at events hosted by entities with similar interests and issues.
