A look at the issues that have arisen over the past year and the status of IEC’s proposals to improve the Higher Education Act, including some pending regulations that are of great interest. A discussion of the latest issues involved in processing loans for veterans will be included in this session.

An extremely knowledgeable member of the group charged with overseeing compliance with US Government regulations on the Federal Direct Loan Programme will update delegates on the state of foreign school participation in the programme and give an overview of participation policies.

An expert with years of experience administering Canadian student aid – as well as the US loan scheme – explains how the national and provincial aid systems work in Canada. She can also discuss differences and answer questions.
